Privacy Policy
Spoke (spoke.ninja) is a journal and analytics tool for options traders who run the wheel strategy. It is operated by Spoke Ninja, part of 1010 Group ("Spoke", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use your information only to run Spoke for you. We do not sell it, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party tracking or analytics.
Information we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use these to create your account and to know it's you. We do not get your Google password or access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or other Google data.
- Your trading records. Trades, positions, account balances, cash deposits and withdrawals, watchlists, goals and settings. These come from your broker (if you connect one) or from what you enter yourself.
- Broker connection details. If you connect Charles Schwab, we store the app key and secret from your own Schwab developer app, along with the access tokens Schwab issues. These are encrypted before they are saved (see "How we protect it").
- Browser storage. Your browser keeps your sign-in session and a few preferences, such as light or dark theme and onboarding progress. We do not use advertising cookies.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as time, page requested and IP address) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To import your trades and show your positions, premium, cost basis, goals and other analysis.
- To run scheduled jobs for you, such as importing new trades, recording weekly balances and refreshing market data.
- To respond when you contact us, and to fix errors.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google user data
Spoke requests only Google's basic sign-in permissions (your name, email address and profile picture), and uses them only to sign you in. Spoke's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your broker connection
Connecting a broker is optional. When you connect Charles Schwab, Spoke reads your account balances, positions, transaction history and market quotes. Spoke never places trades, changes orders or moves money. You can disconnect at any time in Spoke's Settings, and you can also revoke access from your Schwab account.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run Spoke, and only as much as each one needs:
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website and runs our server code.
- Google provides sign-in.
- Charles Schwab provides your account data, only if you connect it.
- Finnhub provides earnings dates. It receives ticker symbols only, never your personal or account information.
Error reports that help us fix problems are stripped of names, emails, account numbers, balances and other financial details before they leave Spoke. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or Spoke.
How we protect it
- All traffic to Spoke is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Database access controls ensure each user can see only their own records.
- Broker keys and tokens are encrypted with AES-256. The encryption key is stored separately from the database, so the stored values are useless on their own.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects your data.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open. To delete your account and all of your data, email trading@1010.group from the address you sign in with. We will delete it within 30 days, apart from anything we are legally required to keep. Backups roll off on their normal schedule after that.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
- Disconnect your broker at any time.
- Delete your account, as described above.
Children
Spoke is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
